Allergy to Business Suits?
When I was a soon-to-graduate student, I consulted quite a lot of career advisors and read a lot of books (yes, including “What Colour Is Yo’ Parachute”) and kept coming up against dead ends. A lot of career counsellors would look at my basic obvious workplace-style skillset, the things i’d studied at uni, put them together and give me a list of boring normal jobs to do. I wasn’t inspired by any of them.
I often think back to then and how it would have been so great to have a proper alternative ‘guide’ to work/life, for people like me who are a bit rebellious, don’t want a traditional 9-5, yet aren’t exactly sure what to do instead.
So finally five years later i’ve made it.
Behold!
It’s a nifty workshop-in-written-format, with exercises to do. If you wanna do it, you’ll need to download and print off these:
‘Breaking Down Your Interest & Finding Your Flavour’
Whilst it may look short & sweet, there is actually a lot of probing that takes place and if you wanna get the most out of doing it, set aside an hour at least. Be thorough. You may want to do some of the exercises a few times whilst considering different interests, or do the session again each six months to process any new experiences or revelations you may have.
You know how i roll – this is all free, if it rocks your pants and you feel inspired to, you can leave a little somethin’ somethin’ using this secure Paypal button
Thaaaanks people! Hope you enjoy and fill that worksheet up real good!
