The skinny on me

I’m a freelance web content editor, and have worked with career coach websites for over a year. I have also contributed to start-up coaching businesses where I learnt a lot about marketing, business strategy and trialling services.

The cool thing about this is that I explain the whys

I am offering this ‘guide’ in the hope that it will make the process of setting up a web-based service/expertise business achievable, clear, and simple. There is no technical jargon involved (I explain what SEO means!) and I explain why businesses do the things they do – why it is important to have free content, why businesses use social networking besides promoting their products. It can be tempting to try and copy other businesses, but if you don’t know why they do what they do, then your strategy isn’t really going to work. I’m hoping that this will empower you to make informed choices about how your web presence will take shape. Once you understand how the main elements of an online-based service business works, you will be able to confidently try out new strategies to take things further.
